Bob Simon is in his 18th season as an assistant golf coach after a successful career as head coach of the Hamilton College men's golf program from 1987 to 2000. Simon's teams captured NESCAC championship titles in 1990 and 1998 and made their only NCAA Division III championship appearance in program history in 1999.
Simon coached five individuals who qualified for the NCAA championship between 1989 and 1996. He also mentored a pair of two-time Golf Coaches Association of America all-academic team selections.
Simon is a committee-person and rules official for the New York State Golf Association. He is the Walcott-Bartlett Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Hamilton. Simon received his bachelor's degree from Lafayette College and his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.
