Hamilton College's Joe Tigani '18 (Hockessin, Del./Tatnall School) finished in seventh place out of 23 golfers at the 2018 NESCAC Men's Golf Championship held at Indian Hill Country Club in Newington, Conn., on Saturday and Sunday.

Tigani is representing the Continentals as one of the three individuals at the championship. He posted a 36-hole score of 151 after an 80 in Sunday's final round. It's the first time during the 2017-18 season that he didn't shoot in the 70s.

Tigani's 71 on Saturday gave him the first-round lead, and it was his second-best 18-hole score all season. He entered the weekend with a 75.07 stroke average.

The top four teams and top four individual finishers not from those teams from the fall's NESCAC Championship Qualifier advanced to this weekend's event. This is the first year individuals are eligible for the championship.

Tigani qualified as an individual after he carded rounds of 75 and 72 and tied for third place with a 147 at Indian Hill CC last fall. Tigani is playing in the NESCAC championship for the third time. He and the Continentals qualified as a team in 2015 and 2016.
