Five Hamilton College Continentals broke 80 in a dual match victory against SUNY Delhi at The College Golf Course at Delhi on Saturday.

Hamilton sent 10 golfers to the event, which had been scheduled as a two-day tournament between the Continentals and the Broncos at Rome Country Club, but cold temperatures forced the teams back to Delhi on Saturday and cancelled Sunday's round.

Hamilton's top quintet posted a four-man team score of 306, which defeated Delhi by 10 strokes. Another Continentals fivesome recorded a team score of 327.

Hamilton's Joe Tigani '18 topped the 18-golfer field with a 74. Tigani entered the weekend with a 75.18 stroke average and all 12 of his rounds in 2017-18 have been in the 70s. Andrew Watson '19 was runner-up with a 75 and Bobby Osborn '20 tied for third at 77.

Nick Schanzer '21 led the Continentals' second team and tied for fifth place with a 78, and Nick Randolph '21 tied for eighth place with a 79. This was Hamilton's first stroke-play event this spring.

The Continentals are scheduled to play in the Williams College Spring Invitational at Taconic Golf Club on April 21 and 22.
