Men's basketball nationally ranked for first time since 2004

A 10-0 start to 2017-18 has the Hamilton College men's basketball team ranked 24th in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll released on Tuesday, Jan. 2.

The Continentals, who have started a season with 10 wins for the first time since 1990-91, are back in the national rankings for the first time since Jan. 19, 2004. Hamilton captured the Roosevelt's 21st Greyhound Classic title by defeating Lebanon Valley College 102-83 on Saturday, Dec. 30 and the hosts from Moravian College 98-94 the following day. The Continentals are ninth in scoring offense in all of Division III with 96.3 points per game.

Hamilton hosts Wells College for a non-conference game at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Friday, Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. The Continentals open NESCAC play this season at Trinity College on Sunday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m.

The D3hoops.com poll is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country.
