Hamilton's 2017 season came to a close with a 3-1 loss against Trinity College in the 2017 NESCAC Field Hockey Championship quarterfinals on Oct. 28. The Continentals finished with an overall record of 9-6 and tied for third place in the conference standings at 6-4. Hamilton competed in the NESCAC championship for the fourth straight year and hosted a conference quarterfinal for the second year in a row.

The Continentals started the year at No. 15 in the preseason coaches poll and have remained in the rankings for the entire season. Hamilton, which had a 3-4 record against ranked teams, reached as high as eighth in the Sept. 19 poll -- the first time the program had ever been ranked in the top 10.

Michaela Giuttari '20 led the Continentals with 18 goals and 39 points. Giuttari's goal and point totals are the second-highest mark for a single season in program history. She's in fourth place on Hamilton's career lists with 32 goals and 75 points.

Margaret Revera '18 and Tatiana Bradley '19 tied for the team lead with six assists. Revera finished her collegiate career in fifth place on the program's all-time list with 19 assists.
