Field hockey ranked in top 10 for third straight week

Hamilton College remained at No. 9 for the second week in a row in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Top 20 poll released on Oct. 3.

The Continentals (6-3 overall, 4-2 NESCAC) blew out Utica College and Wesleyan University last week, 6-1 and 4-0, respectively. Hamilton ended the week with a 2-1 setback against then-No. 6 Tufts University on Sunday. The Continentals are 2-2 against ranked teams so far this year.

Hamilton starts this week with a non-conference game at 3-6 Morrisville State College on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The Continentals host No. 8 Amherst College in NESCAC action on Saturday, Oct. 7. Hamilton is tied for third place in the conference standings while the Mammoths are tied for fifth place with a 3-2 NESCAC record (7-2 overall).

Michaela Giuttari '20 leads the offense as she is second in the conference with 11 goals and third with 23 points. Tatiana Bradley '19 is tied for third with five assists. Julia Booth '19 (1.67 GAA, .706 save pct.) has started all nine games in goal.
