Kenny Collins '17 signs with independent Plattsburgh Redbirds

Recent Hamilton College baseball alum Kenny Collins '17 (Weston, Conn./Fairfield College Prep) has signed a contract to play with the Plattsburgh Redbirds of the independent Empire Pro League.

Collins led the NESCAC with 26 stolen bases, was fourth with an on-base percentage of .468 and sixth in walks with 20. He was hit by a pitch eight times and posted a .313 batting average with 30 hits including three triples. He scored 27 runs and appeared in 31 of Hamilton's 32 games this spring. He handled 86 chances in the outfield without an error.

In 110 career games with the Continentals, Collins owned a .339 batting average with 119 hits in 351 at-bats. He scored 76 runs, drew 58 walks, stole 55 bases and finished with a .446 on-base percentage.
